Old Felt Removal
Existing cloth carefully stripped from the bed and rails. Old staples and adhesive cleaned off for a fresh surface.
Slate Inspection
Slate seams checked and re-waxed if needed. Surface inspected for chips or cracks. Level verified before new cloth goes on.
New Felt Installation
Your chosen color and grade of cloth laid across the bed and rails. Centered, aligned, and positioned for a wrinkle-free finish.
Stretch & Staple
Felt stretched tight and evenly stapled around the bed. Rails re-covered and bolted back on. Ball roll tested for true play.

How much does it cost to refelt a pool table?
Standard felt starts at $320 for a 7ft table, $365 for 8ft, and $425 for 9ft. This includes old felt removal, slate inspection, new felt installation on bed and rails, and stretch & staple. Premium Simonis cloth is available at additional cost.
How long does pool table felt last?
Standard woolen felt typically lasts 3-5 years with regular play. Premium Simonis worsted cloth can last 7-10+ years because it resists pilling and wear. Signs it's time to refelt: visible wear paths, pilling, tears, faded color, or balls not rolling true.
How long does refelting take?
A complete refelt typically takes 1-2 hours depending on table size and condition. We handle everything on-site - no need to move your table. You'll be playing on your freshly felted table the same day.
What felt colors are available?
We stock 20+ colors including traditional green, tournament blue, burgundy, red, tan, charcoal, black, camel, navy, and more. Custom and specialty colors are also available by request. Ask us for a color swatch when you schedule.
What's the difference between Simonis and standard felt?
Standard felt is a woolen blend - affordable, good for casual play, available in many colors. Simonis is a premium worsted cloth used in tournaments worldwide. It plays faster, lasts longer, resists pilling, and gives more consistent ball roll. Serious players prefer Simonis 860 or 760.
