What makes shuffleboard different
Shuffleboard tables are built from solid hard maple and can weigh over 500 lbs for a 14-footer. Unlike pool tables, they have climate adjusters threaded bolts beneath the playing surface that counteract the natural expansion and contraction of wood as humidity changes with the seasons.
The playing surface needs regular waxing with silicone beads before every session for proper puck speed. General movers don't understand climate adjusters, don't know how to level a concave surface, and can damage the wood finish during transport. That's why you need a specialist.
