You bring the skills and your market. We bring the website, the leads, the admin tools, the quoting system, the invoicing, the review automation, and 7+ years of proven systems.

How New Markets Actually Start

Here's the honest truth about how we grow a market:

Phase 1 — Subcontractor Stage

When a new market launches (or is still ramping), the owner takes calls from our San Diego HQ and dispatches qualified subcontractor techs to jobs. You get paid per-job as a 1099 contractor. This is how every tech starts with us — proving quality, reliability, and customer service.

Phase 2 — Full Partner

After 3 to 6 months of consistent quality subcontractor work (5+ jobs/month, 4.8+ review average, zero callbacks), you graduate to full Partner status. That means your own branded phone number, direct lead flow, admin portal access, and the 70/30 revenue share described below. Your name and info appear on the regional hub page.

Phase 3 — Territory Exclusivity

Once you're a Partner in good standing for 6+ months, you become the exclusive Billiard Home operator for your market. No other tech can claim your territory. You can hire your own team, take on commercial accounts in your name, and scale the business as far as your ambition and capacity allow.

Dedicated Phone Number

We provision a Billiard Home-branded local phone number for your market through OpenPhone. All calls route to you, with SMS history saved to your CRM. No mixing with your personal line. Transferrable if you leave the program.

Google Business Profile Support

We help you create and verify your Google Business Profile for your market, which is the #1 thing that drives local rankings. We also give you 12 weeks of ready-made GBP posts so your profile stays active and fresh without extra work.

Insurance & Compliance

We guide you through state-specific licensing (California has the strictest requirements, other states vary). We recommend insurance partners for your general liability coverage. You operate as your own LLC — we don't employ you, so you keep full control.

Brand Reputation

Billiard Home has 7+ years of San Diego operation and 2,000+ completed jobs. Customers trust the brand name. You get instant credibility that would take a solo tech 3-5 years to build.

Ongoing Support & Training

Direct Slack channel with the founder and other partners. Monthly partner calls to share what\'s working. Technical support for complex jobs (rare but we\'ve seen it all). Legal and compliance updates as regulations change.

What We Expect From You

Clear standards. No surprises.

2+ Years of Pool Table Experience

You\'ve moved, leveled, and refelted tables before. You know what slate weighs. You\'ve seen what happens when it cracks. If you\'re just starting out, apply to our Careers page instead — we train techs, but partners need to already know the craft.

Your Own Vehicle & Equipment

Enclosed cargo van or truck with secured tie-down points. Full tool kit (slate levels, torque wrenches, rail mounting tools, beeswax, Simonis felt samples). Moving dollies and straps. We can help source anything you\'re missing.

General Liability Insurance

$1M minimum general liability policy listing Billiard Home as additional insured. Typical cost: $60-$120/month. We can recommend insurance providers that specialize in moving/service businesses.

Clean Driving Record

No DUIs in the last 5 years. No at-fault accidents in the last 3 years. Valid driver\'s license. You\'ll be driving to customers\' homes and carrying expensive tables, so insurability matters.

Business Entity (LLC or Similar)

You need to operate as a legal business entity — LLC is simplest, most states cost $50-$300 to form. This protects both of us and makes tax/legal questions cleaner. We can point you to a formation service.

Professional Standards

You represent the Billiard Home brand. That means showing up on time, answering calls, treating customers with respect, completing jobs to our quality standards, and maintaining 4.5+ Google review average. We terminate partners whose rating drops.

How the Partnership Works

You Apply

Fill out the application below. We\'ll ask about your experience, vehicle, equipment, service area, and references. Takes about 15 minutes.

We Screen

We review applications within 5 business days. Qualified candidates get a 30-minute video call with the founder to discuss your market, experience, and approach.

Test Job

If it\'s a good fit, we\'ll send you on a paid test job — a real customer, full scope. We ride along (or video review if remote) to verify your technique, speed, and customer interaction.

Onboarding

Once approved, we sign the partner agreement, provision your Billiard Home phone number, give you admin portal access, help set up your Google Business Profile, and launch your market on the website. Usually takes 1-2 weeks.

You Go Live

Your market is active. Leads flow in. You handle jobs. Invoicing happens automatically. Reviews get collected automatically. You focus on the craft while the system handles the business side.

Partner Program FAQ

Is this a franchise?

No. A franchise requires an FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document), state registration, and typically 5-6 figure upfront fees. We\'re a partnership — you remain an independent contractor operating your own LLC, and we provide brand, tech, and leads in exchange for a revenue share. No upfront fee. Either party can end the relationship with 30 days notice.

What\'s the revenue split?

70/30 partner/company on jobs generated through the Billiard Home system (website, GBP, ads, referrals from us). Your own direct bookings (customers who call you directly based on prior relationships) are 100% yours. We invoice customers through our system, collect payment, and transfer your portion weekly via ACH.

Is there an upfront fee?

No. Zero upfront fees. We make our money from the revenue share, so we only succeed when you do. The only costs you\'ll pay are your own business formation (LLC), insurance, and any equipment you need to buy.

What territory do I get?

You claim one regional market (see the list above). Inside that region, you have exclusive rights — no other Billiard Home partner will operate there. If demand grows past what one partner can handle, we\'ll give you first right to bring on a second tech before looking elsewhere.

Can I use my own branding too?

Yes. We encourage dual-branding — your own local business identity PLUS Billiard Home. Some partners put magnetic Billiard Home decals on their existing branded vehicle; others vinyl-wrap in full Billiard Home colors. Your choice.

How do leads get to me?

Customers find your regional page via Google search, call your Billiard Home-provisioned phone number (or fill out the quote form), and you get a notification instantly. You respond, confirm pricing, schedule the job, and handle it. All interactions logged in your admin portal.

What if I can\'t handle all the leads?

We\'ll help you scale. You can bring on employees or subcontractors to handle overflow. Most partners start solo and hire a second tech around month 6-9.

What states and cities are you expanding to next?

Current launch states: California, Arizona, Florida, Colorado, Texas. Next expansion (late 2026): Nevada (Las Vegas), Utah (Salt Lake), Oregon (Portland), Washington (Seattle). Apply now to be considered for early access to a new state.

Can I leave the program?

Yes. 30 days notice either way. If you leave, you keep your tools, your LLC, your customer relationships from direct bookings, and your reputation. You just lose access to the Billiard Home brand, admin tools, and lead generation. No non-compete — we don\'t want partners who don\'t want to be here.

Why should I join vs. starting my own company?

Speed. Starting a pool table business from scratch typically takes 18-36 months to become self-sustaining because you have to build: a website, SEO, a Google Business Profile with reviews, brand recognition, invoicing systems, customer CRM, scheduling, quoting, insurance paperwork, etc. We give you all of that from day one. You focus on the craft, not the business infrastructure.
