Pool Table Cushion Replacement
Balls dying on the rails? Bouncing short or at weird angles? That's dead cushion rubber - the most common sign your table needs attention. We replace all six rail cushions with fresh K-66 profile rubber, restoring factory-level bounce and consistent play. Serving all of Southern California.

Signs Your Cushions Need Replacing
Cushion rubber degrades over time - heat, humidity, and age all break it down. Here's how to tell.
Dead Bounce
Ball hits the rail and barely comes back. No snap, no energy. The rubber has hardened and lost its elasticity.
Inconsistent Rails
Some rails bounce fine, others don't. Uneven wear means the rubber is degrading at different rates.
Weird Angles
Balls come off the rail at unpredictable angles. Warped or separated cushions change the contact point.
15+ Years Old
Even well-maintained tables need new cushions after 15–25 years. Rubber compounds break down with age regardless of use.

How We Replace Cushions
Remove Rails
All six rails carefully unbolted from the table frame. Pocket hardware removed and set aside. No stripped bolts, no scratched wood.
Strip Old Rubber
Old cushion rubber peeled off each rail. Rail surface cleaned and prepped for new adhesive. Any rail damage noted and addressed.
Install New Cushions
Fresh K-66 profile rubber bonded to each rail with professional-grade adhesive. Precise alignment ensures consistent ball contact across the entire surface.
Recover & Test
Rail cloth stretched and stapled back on. Rails remounted. Every rail bounce-tested with multiple shots to verify consistent, lively response.

Common Questions
Cushion Replacement FAQ
How do I know if I need new cushions or just a refelt?
Simple test: roll a ball firmly into each rail. If it bounces back with energy and a satisfying snap, your cushions are fine - you probably just need new felt. If the ball dies or barely returns, the rubber is gone and needs replacing. We'll diagnose it for free when we come out.
What's K-66 profile rubber?
K-66 is the standard cushion profile used on most American-style pool tables (7ft, 8ft, 9ft). The "K-66" refers to the cross-section shape of the rubber that ensures proper ball contact height. It's what the major manufacturers (Brunswick, Olhausen, Diamond) use.
Should I replace cushions and felt at the same time?
We strongly recommend it. The rail cloth has to come off to replace the cushions anyway, so you're already paying for that labor. Adding new bed felt at the same time saves you a separate service call and gives you a completely refreshed table. That's why we offer the combo discount.
How long does the job take?
Cushion replacement alone takes about 2–3 hours. Combined with a refelt, plan for 3–4 hours. Everything is done on-site at your home - your table never leaves the room.
Bring your rails back to life
Dead cushions ruin every game. Fresh rubber makes your table play like new again. Free diagnostics - we'll tell you exactly what your table needs.
