How to use the pool table configurator

The 3D configurator above lets you preview a slate pool table in your three most important decision dimensions before you book a service or commit to inventory. Size: toggle between 7-foot, 8-foot, and 9-foot models. A 7-foot table needs a room about 13 feet by 16 feet for full cue clearance, an 8-foot needs about 13 feet by 17 feet, and a 9-foot tournament table wants 14 feet by 18 feet. If you're tight on space, check our room size calculator first. Felt color: we stock 20+ Championship cloth colors and the full Simonis 860 line. Tournament green is the most popular, but charcoal, navy, burgundy, electric blue, and bone are also common picks for modern game rooms. Wood finish: walnut, oak, cherry, and matte black each pair differently with felt colors β€” the live preview shows you the match before you commit.

The price estimate below the viewer is a starting point based on a typical installation at a standard residential ground-floor location with no stairs. Actual quotes adjust for delivery distance from our San Diego dispatch, stairs (each flight adds a flat surcharge for the load and unload), whether the slate is one-piece or three-piece, and whether you want premium Simonis cloth instead of the standard Championship felt. For a full breakdown of pricing factors, see our 2026 pool table cost guide.

Once you've picked your configuration, hit "Request a Quote" and we'll match your selections to a real table from our inventory (or source one from our network) and confirm the all-in price including delivery and white-glove installation. Most quotes land in your inbox within an hour during business hours.

How to use the configurator

The 3D model above is a real-time rendering, not a static image. Everything you change updates instantly.

1

Pick Your Size

7ft fits tight rooms and apartments. 8ft is the American standard for home game rooms. 9ft is regulation tournament size for serious players - needs at least 14′ × 17′ of free space.

2

Choose Your Felt

Tournament green is the classic. Blue and burgundy are our most popular home colors. Black is dramatic and shows dust less. All our felt is woven wool-nylon blend, and we offer premium Simonis 860 as an upgrade.

3

Match Your Room

Natural oak works with most interiors. Mahogany reads warm and traditional. Walnut is the modern favorite. Ebony is bold and contemporary. Rotate the 3D model to see how each looks against the felt color you picked.

When you're happy with the combination, click Get a Quote and we'll send you real used-table options that match your configuration, along with exact pricing for delivery and installation in your area.

Room Size Requirements

Standard pool cues are 58" long. You need clearance around the whole table for a full swing - so the room size is bigger than the table. Minimum recommended room sizes:

  • 7ft table: 12′ 6" × 15′ 6" minimum
  • 8ft table: 13′ × 16′ 6" minimum
  • 9ft table: 14′ × 18′ minimum

Why This Matters

Most people buy the wrong size table because they don't visualize the space. The 3D configurator lets you rotate the table from every angle and get a sense of how it will actually feel in your room before you spend a dollar. If you'd like, we can also do a free on-site measurement where we bring a table template and show you exactly where it would sit.

Use the configurator before choosing a pool table

The right table depends on more than style. Room size, cue clearance, flooring, lighting, table size, cloth type and delivery access all affect the final quote. The configurator helps narrow the choices before we confirm availability, installation requirements and service pricing.

For the most accurate recommendation, compare the configurator result with your room dimensions and send photos of the room, doorway path and any stairs or elevator access.
